Charleston Harbor Veterinarians was created and designed as a transparent veterinary clinic. With an open concept in mind, our model was created to allow you as much or as little involvement in your pet’s healthcare as you desire.
No Hidden Procedures
We know it is sometimes worrisome to allow your pet to be taken to the back treatment area for diagnostics without knowing what is going on back there. We will make it our goal to keep your pet with you and perform as many procedures in the exam room as possible. If your pet does need to be taken to the special procedures area – you will find you can watch each step of the process through large windows from the hallway. You will even be able to catch glimpses of the operating room and view full dental surgeries.
Make Informed Decisions
Laboratory diagnostics and testing can be confusing and their value is not fully appreciated when completed in a back of the hospital lab – or when the results are not available for days. At CHV you will be able to view the microscopic findings on a tablet in the exam room with your doctor in real-time. Your pet’s blood work will also almost entirely be run in-house with results that day – and often times during the visit. You will be able to ask questions and make informed decisions while meeting with your doctor without waiting days for results or playing phone tag.
No Credit Card Fees
Are you tired of merchants passing along their credit card processing fees to you the consumer? Yeah, we are too. Therefore, you’ll never see us charging a surcharge for using your credit card. You should be able to pay the way that is most convenient for you and be charged the same amount regardless. We negotiate fair processing rates with our credit card processor and consider it a business expense we are happy to pay in order to provide that convenience to you.
Clear Communication
The doctors at CHV also know the value of effective communication. We are glad to email, text, phone, Facetime, Skype, or meet in person to discuss your pet’s health plan. With the many ways to communicate we promise to connect with you on your level. Part of the connection form lets you tell us how to reach you – and provides you with various methods of contact for us. Dr. Kahuda wants you to have all the information you need so that as a team we can keep your pet healthy and comfortable.
